Dental and Optical cashback cover is included as part of the scheme for each member. Please see below for details of what you can claim back:
80% of the costs of dentist fees, up to £400 a year
80% of costs up to £200 a year for prescribed glasses and contact lenses to correct vision
Up to £25 a year towards the cost of an eye test
There is no excess that applies to this option and no requirement to pre-authorise treatment for the dental and optical benefit. Cover includes:
In-patient and day-patient treatment paid in full at a private hospital or day-patient unit listed in the Directory of Hospitals.
No yearly limit for out-patient specialist consultation fees as well as psychologist and cognitive behavioural therapist fees when a specialist oversees treatment.
The Stronger Minds service is available to all members. If you are concerned about the way you’re feeling, you can just pick up the phone to Stronger Minds on 0800 174 018. There’s no need for a GP referral so you will get straight to the help you need.

Our policy includes the Guided Option.
This means that you will use AXA Health’s Fast Track Appointment service every time you need to see a specialist.
AXA will then do all the work for you - sourcing up to three specialists, who focus on your condition.
They can even book the appointment at a time and place that’s right for you.

Problems with muscles, bones and joints have a habit of getting worse if they’re not treated.
With Working Body, you can talk to a physiotherapist over the phone without the need for a GP referral.
They will assess your symptoms, talk to you about what they could mean, and help you plan what to do next.
Whether the support is Self-Management, Hands-on Physiotherapy or specialist referral, the team with assess your symptoms and recommend the best course of treatment, along with ongoing support throughout your recovery.

If you spot any changes with your skin and you are worried it may be cancer AXA will ensure you get the tests you need.
You do not need a GP referral all you need to do is call the claims line.

The company will pay for PMI cover for you and your family in full – the only cost to you will be the tax you are required to pay on this because it is deemed a “taxable benefit”. For example, if your cover costs the Company £40 a month then you would pay tax on this sum as if you had earned another £40 in your salary.
You will be offered the chance to join the scheme when you start employment. If you don’t take up the offer at this time, you will be able to join again at renewal time the following April when cover is reviewed and renewed.
Currently, there is £100 excess in place per person, per policy. This means each year you will be asked to pay the first £100 for the first claim per member.

We are advised the best times to call are 9-10am or towards the end of the day around 7pm. AXA often offer a call-back option depending on the volume of calls received/wait times.

Unlimited access, allowing members to speak to a GP by video or over the phone at a time and day to suit you. If a prescription is required, these can be delivered straight to your door.
20-minute appointments can be arranged online or through the AXA Health app.
A GP appointment can be arranged 24/7, 365 days a week.
All notes made from your appointment will be provided to your NHS GP to make sure your records are always up to date.
